Owner, Principal Designer
Danielle Barnes
With nearly two decades of experience, Danielle brings a thoughtful, approachable touch to high-end design. She works closely with clients to reimagine the potential in their homes, creating bright, airy spaces that feature traditionally classic designs balanced with a touch of modern inspiration. Her designs are timeless and inviting, reflecting a vision built to last.
Danielle's passion for interior design began early, and she followed a unique academic strategy earning her Bachelor of Science in the field. This background provides her with a distinct perspective on the design process, blending her aesthetic intuition with a practical eye for form and functionality.
Danielle’s work focuses on high-end residential renovations and custom builds, with a particular expertise in creating kitchens that truly become the heart of the home. Her clean, elevated style transforms spaces to reflect her clients' unique lifestyles and personalities. Inspired by her travels to New England, Europe, and in more recent years the Southwest United States, Danielle brings fresh ideas to each bespoke project.
Outside of work, Danielle leads a vibrant and active life. Her dog Zoey is a daily presence at the studio, while her two cats complete her home. She and her husband Matthew enjoy camping and off-road adventures together, and Danielle is passionate about painting, pottery, and mountain biking. As a tennis coach and a dedicated member of the Fairport Merchants Association board, she is deeply involved in her local community. Media & Marketing Director
Sarah Barnes
Sarah joined our team in early 2022 as Media & Marketing Director, bringing a unique blend of talent, creativity, and enthusiasm. As the sister of our Principal Designer, she shares a deep appreciation for the vision and craft behind each project, which shines through in her work. Whether she’s enhancing our web presence or showcasing our designs on social media, Sarah’s skill and energy elevate every project.
Beyond the studio, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, cooking in the kitchen and experimenting with French cuisine — a passion inspired by Ina Garten. In the summer, you’ll find her paddleboarding on Canandaigua Lake, while winter brings skiing adventures. Sarah and her significant other are also excitedly preparing to welcome their first child, adding a joyful new chapter to their lives.
With her zest for life and creative spirit, Sarah brings warmth and inspiration to every aspect of her work and personal life.
Tech & Operations
Matthew Wilkin
Matt is our go-to team member and the behind-the-scenes support that keeps everything running smoothly. As the husband of our Principal Designer, he plays an essential role in both big-picture planning and day-to-day tasks, ensuring our business operates seamlessly. With a wealth of experience in problem-solving, customer relations, and managing teams in high-stress, fast-paced environments, Matt is always ready to pitch in wherever needed, from goal-setting to service calls and tech repairs.
Outside of work, Matt is an avid overlander, sharing his adventures through his YouTube channel and building out his own custom rig. When he’s not exploring new places or traveling, he enjoys camping and mountain biking, always on the lookout for his next outdoor adventure. Though his contributions to the business are many, Matt’s ability to support his wife’s creative process allows her to focus on design, making their professional partnership thrive.
Studio Assistant
Celia Rivera
Celia has always had a passion for interior design, though it wasn’t until several years of studying business that she realized a more creative path was calling. In a pursuit of coffee and career exploration, she met Danielle, whose design aesthetic immediately resonated with her. At DMB, Celia knew she had found a place where her instincts and interests aligned. She has been a welcomed addition to the DMB team since early 2025.
As one of our Studio Assistants, Celia has a behind-the-scenes hand in nearly every project. She loves watching the progression of each home throughout the design journey and enjoys working closely with clients to ensure they receive first-class care at every step.
Having been involved since the earliest stages of our Evelyn Park project, that home holds a special place in her budding interior design career.
Outside the studio, Celia enjoys Pilates and spending time with her chocolate lab, Maverick. On the weekends, you’ll often find her exploring Rochester's growing restaurant scene. Celia never skips a stop at Pearson’s on her way to the studio, her love of coffee running nearly as deep as her love of interior design.
Interior Design Intern
Cameryn Dera
Cameryn’s love for interior design began in childhood, spending evenings watching HGTV with her grandpa and becoming fascinated by how thoughtful details could transform a space. That early spark grew into a lasting appreciation for beautiful, functional interiors that enhance everyday living.
Drawn to DMB’s signature balance of sophistication and comfort, as well as the studio’s genuinely collaborative environment, she knew this was the ideal place to learn, grow, and begin her career in design.
As our Design Intern, Cameryn supports the team in a variety of ways. She often works side-by-side with Principal Designer Danielle throughout the design development process, attending client meetings and job-site visits. She brings a creative eye and thoughtful approach, drawing inspiration from the timeless elements of historic brownstone architecture she grew to love while living in Boston.
Outside the studio, Cameryn enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and staying active; a passion she’s carried since playing lacrosse for 17-years, from childhood through her time at Fairfield University. She also loves spending time with friends and family, cherishing moments that inspire and recharge her both personally and creatively.

Joshua Hubert
Josh is the talented photographer behind the lens who captures the essence of the firm’s work. Working closely with our marketing team, Josh collaborates to showcase each project through a carefully curated approach. They dedicate full days to shooting each space, ensuring the right lighting and angles to highlight every detail. Josh’s photography is the foundation of our portfolio—without his eye for detail and dedication to the craft, we wouldn’t be able to showcase our designs with the same impact.
Outside of photography, Josh is an avid traveler who enjoys cooking, reading, working out, and hosting dinner parties with friends. His love for discovering new places and experiences comes through in his photography, where he captures the beauty of both grand vistas and intimate, cozy moments that define the spaces we design.

Zoey
If you’re visiting our Studio, Zoey will ensure you are properly greeted at the front door. If you prefer to be greeted by one of our human team members be sure to let us know ahead of time. Zoey takes her job very seriously and has never missed a day of work… so long as her mom is in the office.
Zoey balances her busy work life with her love for adventure. She loves hitting the trails for a hike, joining her family on overlanding trips, as well as camping and chewing sticks by the fire. At the studio, she shifts gears effortlessly, enjoying quiet naps and keeping an eye on the day’s activities.
Whether she’s leading the way on an outdoor adventure or holding down the fort at work, Zoey brings joy and energy to every space she enters.
