The DMB Design Process
A Simplified 10-Step Guide to the completion of your DMB Design Project
01 - Discovery
One of our team members will connect with you to learn more about your project and which spaces you would like to address. Key information will help us determine how our firm can best accomplish your goals for your home. Fill out our inquiry form here and we will reach out to you!
02 - Meet & Greet
Our Principal Designer, Danielle, will meet you at your home to become better acquainted with you and your project. You’ll chat in more detail about how you live in your home and the changes you want to make. You’ll explore different design opportunities your home has to offer.
03 - Contracts & Estimates
You will be welcomed into the DMB Design Studio to meet our team for a comprehensive review of our Design Agreement and Process. We will discuss the overall project budget, complete design questionnaires, and introduce you to our client portal.
04 - Home Measure
The design team will return to your home to measure spaces for specific dimensions. This information will be used to create floor plans, elevations and other vital documents for our project. We also take this time to take before photographs to reference throughout your project.
05 - Design Phase
Our first Design Meeting is a comprehensive presentation of the overall vision we have created for your space. We share drawings, mood boards and materials that have been specially curated for you. We continue through the process with Vendor Visits and Reviews until the design is complete and ready to be ordered.
06 - Procurement
Our team begins procuring all the necessary design elements and materials for your project. With comprehensive tracking and immediate inspection by our team members, your materials are safely stored in our private warehouse awaiting construction. By sourcing all materials at once, we ensure your project will run smoothly and everything we carefully selected for you is available.
07 - Construction
Once all of your materials have arrive, our carefully selected contractors and tradesmen begin the demolition and/or build process. We handle all deliveries of materials from our warehouse to the job site. We will observe your project through the construction phase to ensure the design is implemented exactly as it was envisioned.
08 - Furniture Installation
After construction comes to completion, with all of the hard elements in place we begin to install the soft design elements. Members of our Design team professional hang light fixtures, artwork and window treatments. The delivery team then carefully places all of the area rugs, barstools, large furnishings and more under the supervision of the DMB Design Team.
09 - Styling
Once the large pieces are safely anchored, the design team begins adding all the smaller elements of the design. Selected from the very beginning of the design phase these pieces include everything from accent tables to pillows, floral arrangements, cutting boards and so much more. These details give your home the final layer of texture and detail essential to the overall design vision.
10 - Photography
We love to celebrate each and every one our completed projects. After styling your spaces, our professional photographer documents the results of the now completed custom design. We love sharing this moment with you and comparing before-and-after photographs. It is amazing to see how your home has grown and changed throughout the DMB design process.
