Cameryn Dera

interior design assistant

Cameryn’s passion for interior design began long before it became her career path. From a young age, she was drawn to the beauty and detail within a space, recognizing how color, texture, and intentional details can completely change the way a home feels. Evenings spent watching HGTV with her grandpa first introduced her to the magic of transformation, and seeing spaces evolve from concept to reality left a lasting impression. Those formative moments shaped the way she views design today, not just as something beautiful, but as something deeply connected to how people live, gather, and feel in their homes.

She was drawn to DMB for its thoughtful balance of sophistication and comfort, blending clean, contemporary lines with warm, timeless details. Equally important to Cameryn was the studio’s genuinely collaborative and supportive culture, which made DMB feel like home from the start. She joined the team eager to grow her career while contributing meaningfully to each project.

In her role at DMB, Cameryn supports the team across all phases of a project, from early client conversations and design development to job site visits and studio work. She brings a creative, detail driven perspective, always looking for opportunities to incorporate architecturally interesting ideas while staying true to DMB’s refined and timeless aesthetic.

Cameryn is especially inspired by the blend of old and new. After living in Boston for three years, she developed a lasting appreciation for the character and craftsmanship of historic brownstone architecture. She enjoys weaving these elements into modern interiors, creating spaces that feel both elevated and deeply personal.

Outside of the studio, Cameryn enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves staying active, a passion rooted in her 17 years playing lacrosse from childhood through her time at Fairfield University. These experiences help fuel creativity and keep her inspired, both in her work and everyday life.
